CLIENT - Montgomery County, Tennessee

DESCRIPTION -  Located on 50 acres in the southern portion of Montgomery County, the site for RichEllen Park presented a major design challenge with over 100’ of elevation change and the presence of several large ravines. The County wanted to provide athletic facilities while also creating a community park and preserving many of the natural features of the site. Working with Montgomery County, DT Design held public meetings to gain input from the citizens and surrounding residents about their goals and needs for a park. This information was used to create a series of conceptual plans which were refined to create an overall Master Plan for the park. Features of the plan include 8 tournament-level softball fields, a large multi-purpose building, a community playground, a maintenance area, picnic areas, walking/jogging trails, shelters, entrance plazas, and native grass meadows.
