DESCRIPTION - Harlinsdale Farm is considered the most significant equestrian farm associated with the modern Tennessee Walking horse industry. The design team worked with the City of Franklin to prepare the Master Plan and construction documents for two phases of improvements for this historic 200-acre farm. Envisioned as a rural park within an urban setting, the Master Planning of this farm included a series of visioning charrettes to gain insight into the identity and development goals for the farm. The Master Plan includes a network of pedestrian trails connecting the different areas of the Farm as well as a connection to downtown Franklin. Equestrian trails provide access to designated riding areas, and a cross country running trail runs throughout the Farm. Proposed facilities include: flexible open space, a visitors’ center, limited public parking, river access, paved trail system, natural trail system, equestrian trails, open park area, equestrian museum, historic markers, and pasture areas.
